BIO

Oleg Ilnitsky, also known as Oliver, is a contemporary Canadian artist specializing in oil painting on canvas. His work is inspired by French Impressionism and shaped by a deeply personal, dream-rooted vision of reality.

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1966, Oleg holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University. His artistic path began at the Art School in Kyiv and continued through private mentorship with contemporary artist Alex Shtelman and formal studies at the Palette Art School in Toronto.

His work has been exhibited at the Carousel Festival at Mel Lastman Square, the Interior Design Show in Toronto, and the Lions Art Show in Cobourg. His paintings have also been represented by the Segal Art Gallery, Gallery 133, the Royal Hermitage Gallery in Toronto, and Artisan’s Alley Gallery in London.

Through expressive use of color, texture, and light, Oleg’s work seeks to capture fleeting emotional states, the space between memory and imagination.

My love for painting is driven by a desire to translate my inner world into visible form. Much of my inspiration comes from dreams and moments of quiet observation, when imagination and reality begin to merge.

Each painting becomes a dialogue between the conscious and subconscious. Through oil and color, I strive to capture fleeting emotions and invite viewers into personal, reflective spaces shaped by light, memory, and imagination.
